What You'll Cover

Subject-by-subject curriculum

Mapped to the CBSE, GSEB CLASS 11-12 syllabus. Concept-deep teaching with regular testing for every topic.

Accountancy

Core Topics

  • Class 11: Accounting principles, Journal/Ledger/Trial Balance, Bank Reconciliation
  • Class 11: Depreciation, Bills of Exchange, Final Accounts of Sole Proprietor
  • Class 12 Part A: Partnership — Fundamentals, Reconstitution (Admission/Retirement/Death)
  • Class 12 Part A: Dissolution of Partnership Firm
  • Class 12 Part B: Company Accounts — Share Capital, Debentures
  • Class 12 Part B: Financial Statement Analysis, Cash Flow Statement

Testing

Chapter-end tests with full working shown + monthly comprehensive tests + 4 prelims. Every test has a written marking-scheme breakdown so students learn how board examiners award marks.

Accounts is solved, not memorised. We teach the why behind every entry — students who get this never struggle in CA Foundation.

Economics

Core Topics

  • Class 11 Statistics: Collection, Organisation, Presentation, Measures of Central Tendency, Dispersion, Correlation
  • Class 11 Microeconomics: Consumer Behaviour, Production & Costs, Forms of Market
  • Class 12 Macroeconomics: National Income, Money & Banking, Income Determination
  • Class 12 Macroeconomics: Government Budget, BoP, Foreign Exchange
  • Class 12 Indian Economic Development: Pre-1991 economy, Liberalisation, Current challenges
  • Numericals + analytical answer-writing balanced equally

Testing

Subject-rotation tests across all 4 commerce subjects + chapter tests + 4 prelims. Numerical practice sets graded twice — once for accuracy, once for presentation.

Indian Economic Development chapters get current-affairs context — Budget highlights, RBI policy, GST updates — so students don't write outdated answers.

Business Studies

Core Topics

  • Class 11: Nature & Purpose of Business, Forms of Business Organisation
  • Class 11: Private/Public/Global Enterprises, Business Services, Internal Trade
  • Class 12 Part A: Principles & Functions of Management (Planning, Organising, Staffing, Directing, Controlling)
  • Class 12 Part A: Business Environment, Financial Management, Financial Markets
  • Class 12 Part B: Marketing, Consumer Protection
  • Case-study answer-writing for the new CBSE board pattern

Testing

Monthly subject-specific tests + 4 full-syllabus prelims with case-study sections. Long-answer marking-scheme integration is a focus area.

BST is the highest-scoring subject if answer-structure is right. We drill the structure until it's automatic — bullet-points, examples, conclusion every time.

Applied Mathematics

Core Topics

  • Class 11: Numbers & Quantification, Algebra, Calculus basics, Probability, Mensuration
  • Class 11: Sets, Relations, Functions, Sequences & Series, Permutations-Combinations
  • Class 12: Calculus — Differentiation, Application of Derivatives, Integration
  • Class 12: Probability Distributions, Inferential Statistics
  • Class 12: Linear Programming, Index Numbers, Time-based data, Financial Mathematics
  • GST, EMI, Annuities, Calendar problems — practical commerce-relevant applications

Testing

Weekly chapter tests + monthly cumulative + 4 prelims. Application-based questions weighted heavily.

Applied Maths is the cleaner, more scoring choice for commerce students — we make sure students pick the right elective for their goals.

Common Questions

What parents ask before joining

Which boards do you cover in the Commerce stream?

+
CBSE and GSEB for Class 11 and 12 Commerce. Both boards have substantial syllabus overlap (especially Accounts, BST and Macroeconomics) but the case-study patterns and marking schemes differ — we cover both correctly.

Is Applied Maths or Maths Standard better for commerce students?

+
For most commerce students, Applied Maths (offered from CBSE 2020+) is the better fit — it covers GST, EMI, Annuities, financial maths, and is more aligned with commerce concepts. Standard Maths suits students aiming for engineering / IIT options. We help every parent pick during counselling.

Do you prepare students for CA Foundation alongside boards?

+
Yes. Class 11 and 12 Commerce build the foundation for CA — Accounts, Maths, BST and Economics all feed directly into CA Foundation. Students aiming for CA get optional supplementary problem sets at INA's CA Foundation level alongside their regular board prep.

How are answer-writing skills built for board exams?

+
Through structure drills. Every long-answer question has a 4-step formula (definition + body + example + conclusion). We teach the structure, students drill it for 3 months, and by board prelims it's automatic. Most students lose 15-20% on answer structure alone — we close that gap.

What if my child is weak in Maths but wants Commerce?

+
Applied Maths track is designed exactly for this. We start by re-teaching Class 9-10 Maths basics (algebra, percentages, ratio, basic calculus prep) in Tier 4 catch-up sessions before layering Class 11 content. Many students go from Maths-fearful in Class 10 to scoring 85%+ in Applied Maths Class 12.

Are case studies practiced systematically?

+
Yes — for both BST and Economics. The new CBSE pattern has a 5-mark case-study section per subject. We drill 1 case study per chapter, with the same structure: read passage twice → underline key terms → identify the concept being tested → answer with structure. Students go from struggling to confident within a month.
